TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. UNDERSTANDING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which ADDA Home Solutions Ltd (“ADDA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) agrees to provide property maintenance, plumbing, heating, drainage, electrical, carpentry, painting and decorating, roofing, general building, renovation, and other related services (“Services”) and any associated materials or products (“Goods”) to you.
1.2 Services may be:
Emergency Services: where immediate attendance is required, or
Scheduled Services: where an appointment is arranged in advance.
1.3 These Terms apply to both private individuals (“Consumers”) and businesses (“Businesses”). When we refer to “you” or “your”, this includes both.
2. ORDERING SERVICES
2.1 You may request Services by phone, email, WhatsApp or via our website. A visit to the property (“Premises”) may be arranged.
2.2 Once agreed, these Terms (together with any verbal or written estimate) form the legally binding contract between us (“Contract”).
2.3 Emergency Services will be charged according to our published rates. Once you confirm acceptance of the rate and request our attendance, the Contract is binding.
2.4 If the issue cannot be fully resolved immediately, a Verbal Estimate will be provided on-site. The Contract becomes binding once you accept the estimate and make any required upfront payment.
2.5 For Scheduled Services, we will carry out an initial inspection and provide a Written Estimate by email. The Contract becomes binding once you accept the estimate and pay 50% of the agreed Charges.
2.6 All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
3. CANCELLATIONS
3.1 If you are a Consumer, you have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel the Contract within 14 days. This excludes Emergency Services.
3.2 If you wish for work to begin during the cancellation period, you must confirm this in writing. If you later cancel, you will be liable for any work or materials provided up to that point.
3.3 Cancellations or reschedules must be made by 5pm the day before your appointment. If made after this, we may charge for:
Irrecoverable Goods ordered,
Time already spent by our team, and
Any supplier return charges or travel time.
4. CHARGES AND PAYMENT
4.1 Our Charges vary depending on the type of service:
Emergency Services: Charged by time on site plus materials, at the agreed hourly rate. Time sourcing materials will be charged but kept to a minimum.
Verbal Estimates: Final cost will not exceed the estimate by more than 10%, barring unforeseen circumstances.
Written Estimates: Final cost will not exceed the estimate by more than 20%, except where materials increase in price.
4.2 If additional work or Goods are required during the project, we will inform you. If not approved, we reserve the right to pause or terminate works.
4.3 All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
4.4 For Emergency Services, full payment may be required upfront or upon completion.
4.5 For Verbal or Written Estimates, we may require a 50% deposit, with the balance due on completion. For projects exceeding £20,000 + VAT, we reserve the right to invoice weekly.
4.6 Payments must be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card. We do not accept cheques or cash.
4.7 Late payments will incur interest at 4% above JP Morgan’s base rate.
5. YOUR OBLIGATIONS
You must:
Provide safe, unobstructed access to the Premises,
Provide electricity, water, and if relevant, drain or wiring plans,
Notify us in advance of any listed status, asbestos, or hazardous materials,
Arrange parking or permits where required,
Obtain any necessary permissions from landlords, freeholders, or neighbours,
Be on-site or reachable during works.
You will become responsible for any Goods delivered to site and must insure them if not yet paid for.
6. OUR OBLIGATIONS
6.1 We will carry out the Services with reasonable care and skill. All Goods provided will be fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
6.2 A 12-month workmanship guarantee is provided, subject to fair use and payment in full. It excludes:
Services not completed by ADDA,
Work performed against our advice,
Work on appliances/systems over 10 years old,
Drain blockages,
Materials supplied by the client.
6.3 Manufacturer warranties on Goods are separate and remain subject to the terms of the manufacturer.
7. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to terminate the Contract immediately if:
You breach the Contract and do not remedy it when asked,
You refuse to approve necessary variations or pay deposits,
You prevent access or cause delays we cannot reasonably accommodate.
On termination, you must pay for all work completed and Goods supplied to that point.
8. PRIVACY

9. LIABILITY
9.1 Nothing excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9.2 If you are a Consumer:
We are only liable for foreseeable losses resulting from our breach,
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
9.3 If you are a Business:
We will not be liable for loss of profits, business interruption, or indirect losses,
Our liability will be capped at the lower of £500 or the total value of the Contract.
9.4 We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, including extreme weather, supplier shortages, or access issues.
10. GENERAL TERMS
These Terms apply to every Contract unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains valid.
A failure to enforce any term does not waive the right to do so in future.
Third parties cannot enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by English law.
Consumers may bring proceedings in the English courts. Businesses must do so.
