Victorian Terraced Home, Hammersmith
For this private client in Hammersmith, ADDA were commissioned to reimagine several rooms within a Victorian home while carefully preserving its original character.
The centrepiece of the project was the creation of a generous, highly functional ensuite bathroom, designed to feel both luxurious and personal. The brief called for extensive built-in storage, double basins, and a large bath with integrated shower, all set against soft carpeting and statement Warner House wallpaper. Inspired by the client’s love of India, the wallpaper features a Mughal garden scene with peahens, fountains and gazebos framed by blossom trees, bringing colour, storytelling and warmth into the space.
In addition, we converted a former bathroom into a bright, joyful home office, finished in a rich yellow palette. One room was designed as a highly practical “man-cave” workspace, including discreet gun storage and dedicated cleaning areas.
The project involved significant technical problem-solving, including complex plumbing alterations, bespoke carpentry, electrical works and full redecoration. Doors were repositioned, room uses rethought, and layouts carefully adjusted — all while retaining and respecting the home’s Victorian proportions and detailing. The result is a series of spaces that feel deeply personal, functional and beautifully resolved.
